I love the Type R. Such a stark difference from your average Civic.

They're just more ambitious Toyota to me, just as reliable engine and body wise. Bit the new CVTs are a bit iffy. Toyota got boring as it settled into the 2000s and Nissan just decided every car they make needs way too much power

toyota after 2006 became boring.... the mr2, celica... gone. supra had been gone for years. the real performance model corolla would come to an end in 2009. they killed off the fun cars. theyre trying to get sporty back.. but it just will never be the toyota of the 90s again

The dont even trust themselves to build an engine anymore, vmw is making the Supra and the FRS/BRZ/86 engine they could have picked any dinky engine off the shelf for and they contracted it out to subi the make a dinky and more breakbale engine instead.

Rocks work well, if you can Jimmy the rear key switch and lower the window that works better

It pisses me off they don’t build something with their 3.5. It’s an awesome engine. Reconfigure it for turbos and they could have a real winner on their hands

I had an 87 CRX for about 2-3 weeks in high school. Fun little car.

Then I let my brother drive it. :frusty: He rolled it on an off camber corner doing 2x+ the limit. Back end broke loose, bumper tagged the embankment on the exit, flipped over and landed on his a-pillar and his head dragged along the ground as the car slid to a stop. Thought he was dead actually: head wound and unconscious but came to within a few seconds. EMTs thought I was the primary victim because I had so much of my brother's blood on my from dragging his ass out the window.

I still tease him about his bald spot and the scar on his cheek.

Which 3.5? The one in the Tacoma would make a decent car engine. It's a shit truck engine though. They have plenty of decent engines with decent potential but they don't push things anymore. They're all underperformers, even in the Lexus lineup.

Locked my keys in my 5 lug long ago. I started looking around for the cheapest window to replace however there are a few problems with this.

    1) I was on a public street, so smashing a window and driving away is 100% going to get the cops called on me. I've had guns drawn on me before, I'd rather it not happen again.

    2) the cheapest window to replace was still within about $10 or so what AAA charges to slimjim it, so I just called AAA...

The back window on these trucks if it is a double slider you just have to hit it to get it to pop open, used to do it all the time
