Don't worry, it'll catch up to me.

2 other guys are damn near the same height as me...well 1 is maybe an inch taller or two.

They both, each weigh less than me o_O

I had my 98 4 runners ball joint nut come loose, it was driving really funny for weeks

Like on turns the tire would fold in and the wheel would be 30° off

It got soo bad I decided to take a look at it (before it come appart)

Sure enough there were only 3 threads holding it up

I didn't think about that. The leg pads don't even have puck marks on them.

Well fuck...saw steam coming out from the LC.

Top of radiator is wet, and coolant lightly burning off that had gotten on the exhaust manifold.

My temp gauge is in the clear, and my temps (got my OBD tool) are good.

I fired her up, and looking under the hood I see no leaks. Thinking the plastic end tank split due to changes in elevation/temps? I was thinking that little hose on top (next to the fat one) could be the culprit but again, its just went on top of the shroud with my distro cap barely wet. So it's a very recent leak.

I can't see any cracks in the end tank though and they usually seep out coolant and the coolant dries all over the place (but no signs of that).

Had a similar thing when we up to to Tahoe that winter a few years ago, I started up my truck the first morning after we got there and noticed similar. But saw coolant spray in the bay. Turned out the upper radiator hose had cracked and clamp gave way, probably from a combo of age, the long road trip and the sudden extreme weather did it in.

Think I'm going to just leave the starter sitting on a frame crossmember when I pull the engine. 3rd gen 4Runner brake lines are slightly different so their 3.4 autos aren't as big of a nightmare. Or it's the SPC UCAs being larger. Don't know. I guess the last time I pulled it was for the 4WD conversion. And I put it back in before the front diff went in.

Same thought small crack in an old hose plus elevation.

My rad cracked off-roading during our first snowstorm in January 2021. Still need to get new constant tension clamps for both hoses since they lose strength over the years. Noticed some coolant residue hanging out where it shouldn't have been on the top hose engine side neck.
