Haha yeah that's what Harley would do at the place I rented years ago. Other roommate had a blind Chow and he would attack it on the stairs and freak it out.

Yeah that makes sense, he's been pretty calm and content to lie about when we're all just relaxing indoors, but as soon as we go outside he's all about fetch and going for lengthy walks. He shows his age no doubt, but like you said I think he's just a big guy in general.

His teeth on the other hand need some help, the vet did warn us that we need to address it before it becomes a major dental concern. Got a brush coming in the mail and some dental chews

Feed him right and its no sweat for a lab to go to 13-15 years. Id start on some sort of vitamins for joint/hip stuff now. My lab went to 14 before her hips got her, buddies went to 15 before the hips went out. Also, watch and make sure your daughter doesn't start feeding him all the time. Kids like to do that and you don't notice it until one day the dog looks like he's too fat for his own skin.

Greta was displeased with the new kitchen rug and was expressing her disgust via scratching and yipping at it. Poor dog just got over pink eye last week. Ever try giving eye drops to a 9 month old blue heeler? Pretty sure people thought I was emo or some shit from all the scratches on my body last week.

    Yeah that's a muff.
Yeah my dogs are due for teeth cleaning. Ironically the one that chews on bones(supposedly good for teeth cleaning) had the worst teeth. Sounds like maybe a bit of a pull back on food wouldn't hurt. I'm not sure what age dogs need to switch to senior food, maybe that is better for their teeth?

That’s the one thing I like about this car, Oil changes are so easy. Then you have Toyota, with their 3RZ oil filter location where you need to contort yourself like some kind of cirque du soleil acrobat in order to reach it.

One of the power steering lines went out on the E320, so I figured I’d change all the lines and the pump. It uses that dumb CHF 11F hydraulic fluid that’s impossible to find too.

It’s also badly due for valve cover gaskets. Think I’ll go ahead and powder coat the valve covers too since I have the setup at home for it.

Not a terribly difficult build either. Just paying for the convenience of not having to do it yourself, like Goose Gear and others. (Hit the drawer option on that page and the price goes really bananas.)

What’s wrong with it now? Haha.

The clear is failing on the trunk lid I painted years ago, and I found an E55 AMG at the junkyard nearby… hmm. It’s got the cool steering wheel in it still.

There's more noise in the top end than my last one which tells me that the cams or cam adjusters are worn. Once rattles on cold starts I'll have it dealt with but that is a can of worms. It also need a transmission service imo. Cold it is a bit finicky and there's a spot on my commute that it feels the transmission has a seizure of up down up down up down when I first get in the highway on a slight rise. Small things that indicate there's future work to be done but for now, it's still a 540hp beast everywhere else. Just hints of what it will need. Don't get me wrong, no regrets getting back into one of these cars at all. Just par for the course. I don't buy a 13 year old AMG, it is expected.

Hopefully you get it sorted. I just sent out the cluster in mine to be rebuilt, all the screens were going out.

You know you're old when you get excited about a mixer

Wife surprised me with a mixer

Awesome too though since it's the same one we use in school and we have like 20 of them!

Luckily I don't feel it's on the immediate horizon but accepting it now makes it easier when it does start to rattle. Looking forward I find it hard to imagine life without a wild AMG in the garage.

Fun side story: my dad sent me a link to one of those "by the hour" exotic rentals in Vegas to posture if I had an interest in it, I don't think he realized I have a car, in the garage, that has 95% of the thrill of one of those. The power, the noise, the sensations. Sure a Lambo will sound different but I already have a car that will put perform it on the street so why would I want that? Dirt fish or similar would be way more fun.
