motherboard sale fell through but i'm happy it did to stumble across ddr3/4 compatible boards today

smart idea for those transferring ddr3 to 4, means i can use my old ram with new cpu till i can afford, right?

Ah so good! How nice does that keyboard feel? Love those old chunkers.

It puts modern laptop keyboards to shame. And has drains.

I think I’ll take it home with me, I’m sure Linux will run fine. Maybe keep 7 around too for weird compatibility stuff.

Yeah Linux would be good. Would be super cheap to swap in an SSD and some new RAM and it'd be good to go. I've been keeping an eye out on eBay for some decent shape old ones to use as a sort of "shop" laptop you can just slide around, work on things around it, get dirty and beat it up a bit because they'll take it.

I think it’s got an ssd already, I upgraded that a while ago. Not sure on ram.

My x220 lives on top of my toolbox when I’ve got a project going; it was invaluable during the burnt valve saga.

It’s such an obvious feature for a laptop.

Spent most of yesterday exploring county roads about 2 hours north of me. I saw a number of abandoned cars, trucks, and tractors at the old home sites.

This one caught my eye. If it could talk and tell the story. A Hudson collector would have a field day with this one.

I’ve been missing my rusty Tacoma lately. Now that I have one with a clean frame I’m afraid to take it in the mud or snow lol.

Any of you guys have experience with Jackery solar generators or any other brands that you like?
