Suspension is the easiest part.

 

I don’t know how I managed to convert my truck to 4WD, I’ll be honest with you.

Yeah, how do you think I figured out how to remove a transmission, or how to remove the ADD gear stub from the ring and pinion assembly of the front differential?

 

Till you work on a 5lug or calipers with more then 4 pistons lol

 

When all else fails hammer it till it falls off

You joke, but that's exactly what I did to separate the bellhousing from the engine by the dowel pins. That's how it ended up being cracked.

 

I tried that, never got it to work. I had to open the clamshell and hammer it out with a chisel.

Blessing in disguise, because I counted the teeth on the ring and pinion and it was the wrong gear ratio.

Floor jack and pry bars with sometimes help of a rubber mallet

 

I tried everything. Seriously. Nothing worked. I was at a point where I was going to tie a recovery strap to the tranny, and one on the Benz and pull it out.

Was the driveshaft removed?

I once used a come along to fix the front end if a car....
And a 4x4 to fix the hood

 

Hey i've seen moron moments enough to question these things.

 

It was knocking last night when i was there.
Atleast it sounded like it was.

So probably rip soon

 

Till it gets to cold for a diesel to start
