Case you missed it, got my CNC plasma table going.

Just not cutting anything until I get my water additive in so I don't go cutting into my water table.

Plenty of electrodes and tips (different sizes) as well as metal on hand for several projects.

Can you help me, this seems routed wrong and I can't figure it out lol. Belt is same size as old one but I forgot the before picture. Looked at a half dozen YouTube videos and none of them have this exact setup. I'm inclined to say the idler is configured wrong but idk. The little door spring on a bolt is odd, it takes very little resistance to move. over and under doesn't seem right

Basic shape, wanted to work on a file that was simple to start.

Learned about smoothing for accuracy, torch cut speeds, where cuts start and end, and how outside cuts go counterclockwise and interior cuts go clockwise, and more.

Having touched Draftsight in about a year but even then they've made a lot of changes so I might just stick to Fusion 360.

Fuck cutting parts like a neanderthal :rofl::rofl:

Yeah, I heard the torch speed is hard to dial in at first. The 2 other people I know with tables use fusion. The cuts seem really nice for that thick of metal. How much are you into it for running?

The clutch start cancel text was missing on my 99. The switch on the clutch pedal was messed up and they’d been using that switch to start it ever since. I’d definitely ask the seller about it first. See if they come up with that same explanation.

I agree on the paint over rust on the red. The switch being installed upside down is concerning too.

You mean total investment, or if I've calculated cost per cut?

I need to check power usage but keeping at 220V and running 1/8" or thinner I could keep it at about 0.20-.25 per inch, thicker like 3/16" or 1/4" will run upwards of 0.35-.45 an inch.

Will add a flat cost to already made files for 'clean up' and post processing.

Will be more of course if I'm having to make/recreate a part like I am with these mounts I'm working on.

Finally got the last piece of the puzzle, 35s will be happier and me loading down the 5vz on the turbo won't be as hard on it.

    It should go underPXL_20230118_031534990.jpg

Although it looks like it's been riding over for a long time (given the clean mark on the crank)

If there's not enough tension those springs do get weak over time. The hook on a shitty extension spring over a bolt is actually stock lol... depending on how rusty/brittle it is you may be able to get away with bending the hook more, to make it shorter

Total cost/how much does it take to get that thing purchased and running minus the laptop.

That's the confusing thing, if I route the belt that way it's pushing the spring and not in tension

Can you take a pic from the other side of the crank so I can see the idler arm? Also a pic up the handle showing the cable and drive engagement lever?

Is that belt your main drive? I've only ever seen that pulley on those snowblower used for reverse, not drive

$700+ for plasma cutter (I got $70 off, military discount)

$1,650+ for basic cnc table ($2600, because I added multiple options)

$300+ for machine torch (optional, $30 off, military discount)

$$$+ for air compressor (got mine free, I know you have one already)

So for me I've got $3,600 invested so far before the extra consumables I purchased. That's another $110 alone.

For someone else buying into it, I'd expect about $5k for a small basic setup.

Cool. I have the cutter and compr. So, like 2600. When my building gets done, gonna pick one up or make one. Gotta let you do all the r&d and let me know what you would do different ie. go bigger. lol. Def awesome though! you are running out of space. Your'e gonna have to make a decision and prob go to garage down, ac on, tech fab most likely.
