1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

There's a write-up somewhere on here from someone that put rubber liners between each of their leafs and claims it gets rid of any squeaking for good, but that just seems like too much work lol.

 

That's what I thought & where they should be, in between the axle & bottom of the leaf. But he said they were soda can thin & in between the leafs.

 

I hear it works but that stuff is pron to falling out. They make a bunch of different ones

 

Pinion angle is being taken care of with shims. Ones metal, ones plastic. Wont matter as I put Teflon liner in between the leafs anyways.

 

Already watched that this morning thanks tho lol

 

Isn’t that pushing the pinion down how thats setup. Dont you want it going up

 

Skinny side to the front. Look at the diff.

probably serve the same purpose as the OME yellow anti-friction pads be my guess

 

yeah, having spacers, or teflon etc. between the individual leafs right at the u-bolts doesn't make any sense, although full disclosure, I ain't no expert suspension fabricator.

 

You would think the noxious odor of brake clean would deter mosquitos. Nope. It atttacts them.

No worries. I found out my torch is junk. Leaks propane near the propane bottle. Kinda made me mad. Until I realized I was not doing any of the other bushings.
