Meanwhile everyone that owns a 2nd gen is trying to figure out why they woke up in a walmart parking lot for the 10th time in a row

It's the PNW, we don't have to worry about that in 98% of the cases

 

He's a husky, he will force the issue until the cat is his friend or his face is just ribbons of flesh hanging loose.

 

It’s pretty cool to see a green 90s Toyota with no clear coat peeling.

 

Around here the only color I see regularly ruined is Red

 

Yea my maroon 98 had really bad clearcoat. I really like the color though.

 

Ha the same here they ran and right back in. 4runner said it was 17f this morning. My phone is saying -2

 

Btw speaking frame rust, this is what I pulled out of that red trucks frame.. note to self: never buy a Tacoma from the east coast.

 

Mine has baby flakes still coming out of it, I'm currently (well after work at least) repainting crossmembers I used a shitty paint on last year. But I will be using the eastwood internal frame coating on the boxed portion as well. Some small flakes aren't a concern really, as long as you protect what you've got left and it is still thick enough. I've also plugged the major ingress holes. I want a Brat

 

Yea I eventually did find a small hole in the frame though. I’m pretty sure the PO painted it before he sold it, or the guy before him did.

 

I found a few of them but the majority of the issue on frames that aren't entirely wasted collects near the leaf springs and the rear shock mounts. Usually doesn't rust terribly forward of that thanks to the mudflaps So I just fixed where the holes were and she's minty again

 

About as close as the snow level gets to us



Those mountains arent very high, maybe 4800 ft. It'll be melted by lunchtime

 

Ik you can use a 360 degree spray wand for the internal coating was always unsure of how to get all the flakes out beforehand, other than cutting it open.

 

Ooh nice clean first gen, they must be on every corner out there in California!
