$300 emergency vet bill is a great way to start off a Saturday. Gretas got a pretty gross ear infection. Stupid dog only gets sick when her normal vet is closed.

@eon_blue Id keep an eye on Dex's ears since dogs with ears that dont have flaps are gonna get a bunch more shit caught in them.

I know how to use the search feature - but can’t find a recent thread and so many people call them different things - so please don’t roast me too badly:

- What is the going rate on a camper top/shell?
- What is the best way to find them? FB market place and Craigslist seem to be full of spam.

Looking for a lunar mist shell for a 02 extended cab.

 

Like everything else with these trucks, the going rate is what the buyer/seller is willing to pay/ask for. For instance, I paid 300 bucks back in 2016 for my Leer 100r. Used of course and the seller was motivated to sell (didn't have his taco anymore), found on craigslist.

Best way to find them is post a WTB thread in your closest regional section here on TW. Beyond that, Craigslist and FB marketplace although I imagine you have more spam and crap on FB.

Crazy non stop rain the last few days. Got a few things I need to do to the 4runner today before we take it up the mountain tomorrow, guess I'm getting wet

 

My wife says Dex isn't a real dog because his ears aren't floppy and his tail doesn't cover his butthole, now the poor guy has to deal with ear infections, man

We were gonna go a little ways up big bear but just enough to find some snow, which shouldn't be very far after this storm. Snow level is down to 1,000 ft

Gonna go out to the high desert and take the service roads up because the main highways up there are gonna be a mess, not gonna bother with those.

Not surprised to hear about the 2, but if they closed it both directions I wonder how ski and snowboard folk are gonna get to Mountain High?

 

That sounds fun. Have you ever taken Kleghorn Rd in the cajon pass it's not to technical but has some good views.

Exactly this, but also @wjcunningham3 its tough going if you have any specifics in mind. Eg: if you want side windoors or a specific type of front window or carpeted interior etc. It's like a lotto win if you find what you want and it's already color-matched to your truck. I ended up just ordering a new one after I looked for a long time.

 

Oh yeah used to run Cleghorn a bunch in my early days with the Tacoma, there are a few pretty technical offshoots out there but mostly just fire road. I prefer to go a little further over and do the Pilot Rock trail, there's a section toward the beginning of the main fire road that takes you up the 4wd trail which is a lot more technical. Eventually will take you all the way up into Arrowhead.

 

I hope you reminded her that cats ears don't flop and their assholes are constantly, almost proudly on display.

I lucked out and the Leer 100r had the carpeted interior and was the same color. I would've loved to have found one with windoors but even checking periodically, still have not come across another with that combo. Ordering a new cap was outside my budget at the time. Damn expensive!

@wjcunningham3, if you find one that fits (confirm by serial number, call up your local cap dealer and have them confirm), grab it!

 

That's a bummer.
I've seen a lot of clips of snow, some of it looked pretty heavy, maybe 75 miles from L.A.. I figured most are getting rain and just dealing with generally nasty days. Some east coast weather out west.

 

It's also criminal how much manufacturers charge to have windows put in after the fact. And its near impossible trying to get them to actually sell you one so you can DIY it.

 

Pilot Rock was fun. I did it on my Dirt bike but with snow on it it really fun.
I sold my 4runner to a coworker 2 weeks ago. He sent me this picture the other day. I guess he can't drive in the snow.
