I was about to say, normal chain is fairly easy to cut through. That seems like a much better solution.

Good luck cutting that shit, but again theft is about ease. Just by having any chain and some form of reciever lock you'll be fine. Your trailer they could just pick up if it isnt staked to the earth anyway

This is a benefit for living in the woods. No one comes up to you. Plus everyone out here knows me as the crazy guy with too many guns

Oh you could pick the damn thing up and walk away with it it’s so light. I’m just taking precautions to secure my investment.

Especially so when I’m on the road.

I’ll just put a poster of this on the back door, no one will want to steal it now.

The old man who owns the Toyota Sienna I’m working on told me a story about a car that was loitering in front of our houses. I live on a circle, so you have no business being there if you don’t live there.

One day, there was a car full of teenagers loitering. He came up to them, asked them if he could help them, and they told him to “fuck off old man”. Without saying a word, he went back inside.

He came back with his shotgun, cocked it, (in his bathrobe, mine you), and asked them “What the fuck did you say to me?”

And they sped off. Classic. I wish I caught that exchange on my security cameras.

Contrary to popular belief, a lot of people own guns around here. Hell my old Middle School teacher donated a Pelican case for our microphones that had foam cutouts shaped like guns. I asked her “are those for guns?” And she said of course not.

Years later she admitted to me there used to be two glocks stored in that case. This is the friendly middle aged Filipino woman who was the choir teacher.
