I've passed up 6-7 different rigs, none have been a single cab.

I have a feeling it's gonna be like that for a good while, those 6 cyl regular cabs are tough to find nowadays. Even tougher in good shape. If you find a clean one with a locker I would be amazed, locker was just a dealer option back in those reg cab v6 days

Only downside is I don't think they were ever offered in V6. But they're also so light and small that I don't think it matters

Right? The 1st Gens were all 4x4, and that green one had a drop bracket in it.

A white one was manual, V6, but no locker and had an OME kit, cheap headlights and a snorkel that just made me wanna burn it down with molotov.

Yeah for a trail rig, a 4 cylinder will more than suffice for sure so you're right about that

Nothing to put an exclamation point on getting into better shape like seeing yourself in the doorbell camera. Fuck.

Not selling it though, only open to trading it.

I don't and won't need it; its purpose was to have a large family hauler, with capability.

Getting a larger family hauler, with far less off road capability, and far more utility which replaces 85% of the Land Cruiser's role. The remaining 15% would be fulfilled by a dedicated trail rig hence the desire for a regular cab Tacoma.

Sounds like a good plan to me.
A beater-ish reg cab that you don't mind cutting into right away would be great. Whatcha looking at for the hauler part of the equation?

Low mileage F250 diesel; being given to me.

Ideally I want a regular cab so, the LC may just sell and I'll go look for a stock one that needs some work.

I'll be hitting up @Speedytech7 to get me up to speed on a 63 swap as that'll be a mod I'd want to do right away followed by bobbing the bed. Naturally a shock relocation will occur as well.

Bed will get bobbed after because a 63's shackle mount gets relocated at the back and will determine how far back I bob the bed.

At least I know what I won't add or buy; it's those $2k arms that offer no benefit
