1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

Never been to a roscoes. I have family in TN and have had cracker barrel and waffle house etc. There are some local places in san diego that do a phenomenal job w chicken n waffles. But I rarely eat that shit. Its so bad for you haha.

 

We have cracker barrel here too but I've only been once and wasn't really impressed.

 

I thought the same thing. He is lucky to have a hand. When u base jump you shouldnt swing like that. You want a gradual transition to your belly as you reach terminal. There was all sorts of dumb things happening in that video, including dropping a wooden seat.

 

@eon_blue has all the good restaurants out there in LA

 

I like their biscuits n gravey, i feel they do a better job at their buscuits than waffle house, but when i said that i started a waffle house vs cracker barrel argument amongst the TN folk haha

 

Next time I go bother my buddy at Harvey Mudd I'm gonna take the metro into LA check out some good restaurants

We do have quite a few mom and pop places though, so that makes up for it.

Not fast food though.

 

If you only get one I'd far prefer Wendy's.

 

Cracker Barrel biscuits & gravy!!!

TBH I mostly go there to rent books on CD, for road trips. Pick em up at one trade for another at the next state over.

 

What kind audiobooks are you into? I have a decent collection of GraphicAudio stories. They're like listening to a play, it's amazing

 

I mean we have Wendy’s, McDonald’s, Burger King, Freddy’s, and Arby’s, just none of the ones you guys are talking about.

We had a Denny’s but it closed up shop and is now a Betos. We also have like 5 Mexican restaurants.

Anything that keeps my attention while the highway drones on... which seems to be gum shoe detective, spies & lawyer stuff. Sometimes I’ll try something just because of familiarity with the reader.

 

In N Out is good but my choice if available will always be Five Guys Burger & Fries. First tried in FL while on a business trip.

That's how I got into them too. If you ever want to try the Graphic Audio style books out lemme know, I've got tons of them and I do what you do too I get familiar with the voice actors and the cool part is in the Graphic Audio, one book might cast a dude a some crazy evil wizard and in the next a hard hitting CIA agent. They do a great job with background music and casting.


Also did gas prices go down mysteriously for any if you Cali folks, PHX area gas went down well below $3 again. Paid $2.82 at costco the other day, we were around $3.05 for a while
