Im not a mad scientist like you. I can cram a bunch of big shit in a small box but when it comes to kelvins, ohms and resistors, im like your average beer drinking homer simpson that can follow directions well.

Oh yeah, I crush on demo. I get first dibbs on everything cause I emailed the complete tech manual for a john deere 310sk backhoe to the big guy a while back. Best $70 I ever spent.

Well I can't cornfobble a automotive project like you've been able to do, so we all have our own degree of mad scientist-ness :fistbump:

Fuck yea! First dibs for a 70 buck manual is a fucking steal!

Regretfully I like my fresh fruits and veggies and the doordash/instacart shoppers are fucking brutal with produce IMO

Oh, im already home from drinking at only one bar then going shopping :D.

With work schedule its inconvenient to go at open/close plus in my neck of the woods, not the best kinda people are zombie-ing around at those times lol

I tried delivery twice and got super shitty produce picked for me so I haven't ever tried it again........ now that I think about it that was during pandemic times so maybe I shouldn't be so critical

Im tryin to get out of suburbia to my farm so I don't have to worry about that shit. But.......when fucking interest rates have a number higher than the length of your favorite biological weapon, you ain't building shit but toyota in the driveway.

sheeeeeet. Year 10, Ill let you know when it starts to slow down. Right now its bad. He takes the dirtbike and just leaves w out saying shit. Part of a wheelie crew on the SE bikes. I get people calling me to remind me how much of a fuck I am for letting my kid ride his bike multiple towns away. He listens to the worst rap a human could make even though he appreciates Biggie, Bob and Jerry. Its only getting worse bro. Be prepared to be better than ur disappointment..... Otherwise, they are the best!

This is how he ends his day. Custom powder coated bike and crf I fix weekly.

315 hp today.. testing some new goodies.. their not staying on the car currently.. just getting some base line runs in for stuff coming later..

Stock ECU run today topped at 297 wheel HP (this was a baseline before trying the new intake stuff)
haltech with a new custom intake plenum and larger 76mm throttle body + 3.5" MAF pipe? 315 wheel, same fuel.
losing the variable runners hurts the mid range a decent bit.. but not too bad honestly

Haltech can control variable runners, why not use the stock intake but cut and weld a flange for a larger throttle body to it? Also if you're going haltech, lose the MAF, no need for intake restriction when you can tune with VE

VE has shown zero gains on these engines when we've played with it. MAF just tunes WAY quicker. now if we go boosted? it'll be a different story.

the intake is a full custom job, shorter runners. its just for big power. its not staying on the car.. its testing... a custom variable runner setup is probably going to happen.. but this cars staying on the sienna ECU. he just really wanted to get a base tune for the GR without cams done.

this is the same plenum that pushed 403 out of the big cam 12.5:1 engine.

the 400hp run on marcs car. same pistons, same ECU, same intake setup. on MAF. only difference is fairly large cams... and Ethanol

(MPH instead of RPM because of the pickup signal being shit...)

Ah yeah I keep forgetting these have no boost, VE wouldn't hurt but it sounds like even with putting the MAF in the wrong housing you can still tune it well enough as-is. We used to use a MAF to quick tune VE setups but the quick tune functions and trimming in the new Haltech versions have made it utterly irrelevant now. Other than weird OEM stuff like you're using dual mapped setups and MAF only aftermarket is pretty much dead. VE and alpha-n are the winners in the aftermarket
