Now is the time to get an 80. Ive seen nice ass 97's triple locked with both bumpers :rofl: and clean for under 10-12k. They are gonna be 40k in a few years and never go back down like defender 90's did 10 years ago.

He's the one looking for one, but many of us recommend against it.

$10k finds a triple locked here, but salvage title.

Or, clean title with bad frame.

Clean title, clean frame, at least $16k (average) but yeah they've come down a bit.

I still need to get that front housing from you! Not looking like I'm going to get any bites I'm interested in for the LC.

Part of me says fuck it and cut it up.

I know you don't need one. lol. 16k for a cali truck same as 10k for one here that has manageable rust. Like a southern one that spent a year or so here. Id spend 16k on a cali truck all day. I was totally planning on going out there for a 100 but happened to find one that worked here.

And when I say cut up, more like cutting the rear off like a ute.

I'd have to learn how to unplug or pull out wiring (or simply be wary of) that I could accidentally cut.

Tons of harnesses and wires for stuff like the brake lights, fuel related stuff, speaker wires, and other random harnesses not plugged into anything.

This. They just don't exist on the west coast for a reasonable price. The clean triple locked ones go for $25k+ all day. I looked from WA to CA to AZ etc for over a year and couldn't find jack. Ended up getting the GX instead. Still wish I would've waited for a triple 80.

Don't exist over here from what I've seen either. Lotta rusty shitboxes in the teens though.

    Don't even suggest a 100.

He needs a new vehicle with warranty.

Like a Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla.

    What kind of paint?

It'll have a texture if you're spraying from too far since the paint dries leaving the can. The farther away from the bumper, the more it dries in the air thus causing a rough texture.

    Hides imperfections though.

Im the worst with jumping on pages and not looking back. The pa 100 is money though. Kinda wish I got it, but I wanted wheels even if temporary.

In my experience it does that when you either spray too close (like sub 10", and worse when you go slowly) or if you overspray/overcoat or spray over paint that hasn't set long enough yet. Which always tests my patience.
