It's less Tacoma and more mod
It's not taped, it's a molded lexan rear window with a relief for the plate like that.

With the CEL on your mpg should be shit. I don't think my truck ever got 25mpg when it was completely stock with no CEL on.

Depends what the CEL is for, anything that stops closed loop EFI management from occurring will tank your MPG, but not everything is absolutely necessary so a CEL alone won't kill MPG.

How many hours of labor does it take to get the materials and produce the kit? What about the other costs like fuel to source these parts? His time is worth something and I don't think he's figured that out yet. He might make more money working 20 hours a week as a dishwasher but most college students these days are above that. I'm being hard on Tyler because I want him to succeed, until he's done an analysis on what a completed kit costs he's as Mr. Wonderful would say dead to me.

    You’re not his dad.

I value my time more than being a dishwasher, I pretty much refuse working for under 10$ an hour, not worth it.

:notsure: stick shift, I drive between 1500 and 2200 rpms (long tube header and smaller than stock mandrel with high flow muffler)... avg speed is between 35 and 55 mph, I live and drive at over 6000ft... I'm just as surprised but no reason to complain about it

You’re right, I haven’t truly accounted for my time yet.

But I’ll say one thing - the overhead in materials is very very low compared to what I get out of them after all is said and done.

I suppose it depends on the ECU. On Hondas when the CEL came on it automatically went into open loop.

On my truck whenever the CEL came on I can feel the power loss. But now you got me wondering. Next time my truck throws a code for something not fuel related I'll see if my UG shows constant open loop.

If I was I would have thrown him out of the house when he showed up with that trailer.

Son go upstairs and get your window A/C unit because you're going to need it for your new home.

I can definitely make more money as a server or a dishwasher.

But this is why I like what I do: I work for myself. I set my own hours. I am my own boss. My income, doing what I do, I make about half what a fry cook at McDonalds would make annually. But this is only from selling on TW, I haven’t branched out to other forums yet or selling on my website yet. I’m waiting to incorporate for that liability coverage before I do.

I need to focus on school, so that may be not for another four five years down the road. I’m okay keeping it low key for now, and diversifying later on.
