Are first gen Tacomas considered classic cars now? I didn't realize that. Also I meant appreciate as opposed to a new car that'd depreciate.

The g is for my step bro actually. He had an 80 and didn't like it so I told him the only other solid axle truck was a g or disco 2. He opted for G.

Life's too short to be cheap.

Those are sick. Maybe he can't actually read???

How much would it cost to SAS your Tacoma with a leaf or radium arm setup? I really like Slanders build with the flipped FJ60 axle on leafs.

Why didn't he like the 80 series?

I dunno. Are we counting parts I already have? Junkyard parts or new? Axle choice?

Probably around 5k in parts for a leaf sprung swap assuming you buy a geared front axle for $1500 and do all the labor in building and pulling junkyard parts.

In the 80's defense, he got a 92 and it had that slow ass motor and it just wasn't nice inside. It def wasn't like a 97.

    Try these.

I was wondering if you could make another 8.4" axle work in the front, or whatever the old minitrucks used. HP 8" would be cool too, or an FJ60 9.5" front. It seems very hard to keep it under 5k if you can't do your own fab work.

I was wondering what it would cost if you just dropped it off at an off road fab shop and told them to SAS it. Not saying I would do that but it's just funny to think about. Not cheap I'd imagine.

Ooooh, that does look fun. I wonder what the voltage on that bar is. It’s so thicc that I’d think it’s pretty low, but….telecom people are kind of crazy

Something low voltage probably wouldn’t conduct enough current to get ya. But if you touched with an open cut or something and made a low enough resistance path, there’s enough current to make you extra crispy
