Well I smelled a little clutch after a pull just now, so I'm making north of 370lb of torque in the taco. Sucks that this clutch tapped out a bit early but it's okay, I'll turn the boost down for the moment, ride out this season, and then put in something spicier. I've got another 4psi on hand before I'm worried about the engine at all.

Tough break. I keep spinning the belt in first gear with the smaller pulley so I feel your pain. Too bad we won't have a chance to line up turbo vs blower. It would be very interesting to see how it played out.

Is what it is. Clutch isn't a hard job, just need to find the right one now. This thing is dangerously fast, turning it down 3psi will save the current clutch for the rest of the season and still be way faster than any other 5vz powered first gen in the pnw.

Mostly done; will be interesting to see how I figure out mounting this up.

Thinking I'll cut it out of 16 gauge first and mock up mounting it.

You'll need some slips to prove that. Next weekend the green truck will get a run at the strip during some midnight drags and the numbers should be quite the improvement based on my ass Dyno.

Sheesh, you're welding better than I am!

    How thin is that?

Looks like the travel was a little fast but at least no visible undercut.

the astonishing part of that is that he drove over it with the front of the car, backed out of the driveway with it under the front subframe, then kept driving forward with it under there lol
