I have to push my 99’s brakes 2/3’s of the way in to get any brake action.

Shits loose and full of air Im sure.

Not a single roll of electrical tape to be found.

    Great.

No it made a big difference in pedal feel. The single diaphragm setup in the 01-04's feels much better then the earlier ones.

Uh...what campfire was that? because...all of us that have it love the braking performance. Its having to switch to larger wheels that sucks. I don't think saying its not worth it is fair. Its a big improvement really in braking overall. If its worth the hassle of going to a 16 wheel where tire size options suck or 17 where there are super expensive and high load range that im not sure of. Least from my perspective for a wheeling rig.

I didn't get that feel from the convo at all, both Dans seemed pretty eh on the whole thing. Mike seemed like he was more pleased with it than you even. But if that's how you feel about it now I'll change it. My brakes are worn out and they werent as good as any of yours but when they were new they were pretty much the same as all your rigs. My rears work well which helps though and I know for most the rears function is dubious at best.

Oh I love it when you find shit you need.

Mercedes used some weird cloth electrical tape when they fixed this short before, it’s just coming up off.

That’s what I wanted to do, and I actually went back to the junkyard to get aforementioned brake shields and the brake lines - but the only way to get them off looked like you had to pull the wheel hub.

    Or maybe I’m stupid.

Speaking of brakes, I’m installing the BPV drop and the new rear extended brake line tonight. What setting should I put the BPV drop at?

I have a bad caliper in Igor. Just haven't fixed it thus my performance isn't very good. When I first did it it was pretty intense the ease at which it to lock up the wheels. Couldn't do that before.

Mike is pretty happy with is. Dan Im still curious if the pedal feel is because of the dual booster and larger bore MC. But he won't let any one drive his truck..so..can't test that theory. In my experiance the dual with a very large MC Sucked ass.

Again, I don't think your wrong, but I don't thing your right either. Id say its worth it if you already changed wheels. I don't plan on doing the swap on Frank though, I like 15s too much.

Stupid question, but does that mean 2.5” inches on the bracket?

I haven’t had an issue with the BPV that’s on the truck. Don’t fix something that isn’t broken, as they say.
