I moved it to try and catch some oil from the filter, forgot to put the plug in.

 

I found @Speedytech7 ’s car.

If I had to describe the condition of it in one word, it would be Fuckered.

I forgot to put the drain plug back in + 5 quarts of new oil + moved catch pan = gulf oil spill in garage.

Unfortunately, the most dirt this truck has seen so far is the parking lot of a regional park up in the Berkeley Hills. Haha.

 

Only had time to finish one side today. Wanted to do it right and remove as much rust as possible.

Also found out that swivel joints take a lot out of an impact gun. Had to use a breaker bar and floor jack to loosen the caliper bolts.

What I have to look forward to tomorrow (No, Im not driving it until both sides are done):

 

Nah. Im not made of money. Just ceramic pads and a freshly painted stock caliper. Hopefully it will stop a little better than what was on there.

Well, I replaced my radiator, thermostat, and fan clutch. Still doing the flush but so far the engine hasn’t exploded, so that’s encouraging.

 

Akebono says theres no break in procedure.
