What's the difference?

 

I dunno, I am friendly with co-workers, but we aren't friends. I don't take work home with me and that includes the people at work.

 

What if you've known said coworkers for over 10 years

 

I mean that could change for sure, but I was trying to gauge if his co worker is the type that many of us have all had.

Super happy at work all the time, "loves" work as he stated, and this dude would literally hang out with his co workers (who are just his acquaintances, not actually friends) while they all worked. Had a guy like that I'd literally kick out my office after a few minutes.

Then again maybe he didn't love work and just hated everything else? Hmm....

 

my office has quite a few of those people lol.
I just assume they hate their home lives so much that being in the office is the best part of their day lmao

I definitely have been feeling the shade for not being outwardly thrilled about having to be in the office. I was especially cranky one morning and didn't say "good morning" enthusiastically enough to our office manager. she complained to my manager who pulled me into the stairwell and ripped on me when I tried to tell him I was struggling with my health. Sorry, I'm not in the office to play barbie house and be all bubbly

 

Oh dude, we have this new guy here who is the bubbliest little altar boy to have ever lived, naive to a fault and acts fake interested in everything.... He greets everyone like it's the best day of his life and in the morning it makes me physically ill to experience his existence.

Also this. I should be ripping the engine and trans out of the green truck after work but that ac in the house is just better.

Some people have interests like photography, cars, or hunting and so work is a means to enjoy those things. But there are those that genuinely like working work. Fucking weirdos. Must be nice though in many ways.
