Oh I had a baby centipede a few weeks ago when I was reconfiguring the pond liner. Those are pretty rare but seen a few in my life - they obviously enjoy the more humid areas

 

Didn't know that's what they were called. Seen a few but just always ignored those (beetles).

I remember all the touristy shops you pass on the highway and every single one sold scorpions, tarantulas, etc encased in epoxy. Super cool to have as a kid, my mom might still have mine.

 

Ooooh yeah that's the common one you'd see in shops.

 

The best touristy place I went through in AZ (minus grand canyon) is Oatman, you have no reason to go there really at all but the entire place is overrun with friendly Donkeys

It is your house but you have zero control, WTF

HOA are the WORST - it is like you are paying them to jerk you around and it just incentivizes obnoxious nosy neighbors..

Sun spiders or wind scorpions or vice versa.

Those things will literally chase you, territorial AF.

 

Just an example from Amazon, but yeah you'll find the one you described in gift shops near you.

 

Mainly because when people go on a road trip or vacation, they drive through Arizona not to it

 

If I recall correctly, they have the largest jaws in relation to their body out of any animal...in existence.

Their bite is painful AF. I've never been bitten and hope I never do.

One of our dogs (Bronx) loves barking at the lizards we have; I love those little guys cause they eat all the bugs here.

 

Lol sounds like some small dog energy

But yep we love the lizards, get about 3-5 on rotation. I've seen them running around with grasshoppers in their mouths

You only have cats right?

 

You step outside to the back or front yard, guaranteed to see at least 6 or so.

They're everywhere, but mostly chill around the pillars and hardscape just by the doorways which is awesome cause even spiders don't set up there (or they do and they get eaten).
