"A years worth of rain in less than a day, historic catastrophic flooding predicted," is the one I keep seeing.
I'm sure there will be local spots that do get that and there will be some historic incidents, but if I've learned anything from a lifetime of hurricane seasons, unless it's a giant that's moving slowly, you really don't know until you know. Sometimes it's not a fraction as bad, sometimes they turn or go a little left or right of their predicted track, but sometimes it's spot on or even worse. Hopefully no one is hurt and hopefully nobody is doing anything dumb as it comes through, like hanging out in a slot canyon or something.

You tryin to work on that Type 2 diabetes?

Rate of motion, wind field, rainfall totals - lots of variables for sure; living on the east coast we have seen it can go alot of different ways. . .
Hopefully nothing too dumb happens, but, you know - people and such. . .

At 6pm yesterday we had rain and thunder; by 7pm the driveway was already dry again

It's been overcast the entire time anyway

Yeah we don't have shit planned today and you know how Sundays are; EVERYONE and their mother is out so it's only going to be a shitshow later

I'll be staying in, don't even need to work at all in the garage today

Aww, come on - the caramel is just the icing on the cake; you'll get 90% of the way there on your own anyways!

    You ever freeze banana bread?
I swear it comes out almost better after being frozen - all soft and dense and tasty

Damn those cookies sound good :(
    I hate you both!! :luvya:

After living in the South all my life - blew my mind that houses could NOT have A/C . . .
    I was like WTF

Around here they all do unless you live right on the coast, even then most still do.

When we were up in Oregon a couple weeks ago in a rental on the coast it started to get warm the last few days, my brother and I were messing with the thermostat for like 20 minutes before it dawned on us that the damn place didn't have air conditioning lol.

In the Central Coast, none of the houses had AC as standard

Then again even during summer it felt like 70 cause you always got the ocean breeze

I realized this once I started traveling more - had to be super careful of the AirBnB in Boston and Denver [in particular] cause not all of them had A/C..
I have never lived anywhere cool enough that this was even possible so it hadn't really entered my mind that it was a thing..

Of course when I lived in S Fla - I would cycle the heat on 1/winter just to prove it still worked - so -
