Random question for you; what makes you think your UCAs have anything to do with whatever you're feeling?

If I recall correctly, you've complained about a loose steering feel before. It was mentioned to replace your steering rack bushings, along with control arm bushings (upper and lower).

Did you do any of that?

jack up each side on the front and shake the wheel at 12 and 6 and also at 3 and 9 o clock to see where the play is

    Sway bar?
    Tie rod ends?
    Ball joint?
    LCA bushings?

I'm probably the worst person to ask because I've been driving on trashed LCA bushings for years. Whole front has always been clunky. I had been keeping an eye on LBJs but when I pulled it apart to do the LCA bushings I found all my TREs and LBJs trashed as well

I had a shop look at it a little while ago and they said the only thing that needed replacing was the outer tie rods, which they did. The steering has felt the same the whole time. The OEM LBJs and CVs are only about a year old.

    No you're good

Members can only suggest things to do/replace

You always "observe" but never "do"

Then return asking the same question a week, a month, and/or a year later

We can't work on your truck for you, you just have to do it especially when something can be repaired/replaced easily but you find ways to avoid actually doing it so :notsure:

That's the Zeekr, but their van will likely be based on that. Not for me, but I'm sure it'll be comfy as hell.

@eon_blue you bringing your jack? Or should I borrow it from my MIL?

I've been using these drive-up ramps for everything which is why I haven't bought one yet since my other ones were stolen at my other house :bananadead:

I just haven’t seen anything that looks bad other than the leaking rack. I know I’ve asked before but I was just a little nervous before heading up Imogene.

I'm actually gonna try to knock it out here before we leave. Rebecca doesn't want to take the 4runner up for a 3 hour drive...in her condition the older seats and rougher ride don't feel so great. I'm sure it will be a bit better after the new suspension goes on but it still won't be as comfy as her Rav with the IRS and street tires

watched a clip on doing the rear on these 4runners and it looks stupid easy, fronts shouldn't take more than 20 minutes. Except I don't deal with a sway bar on the Tacoma so I might just take that off the 4runner too entirely (front one).
