@Wulf we made it most of the way up Yankee Boy but I turned back since Courtney was getting nervous, and I didn’t quite feel comfortable going up the last part without a locker.

Hmm...anyone know where I can buy some aluminum rods, but small enough to run a long bolt through?

I could go delrin but would like to maintain an industrial sort of look.

I've found a lot but all are pre-cut or outrageously priced.

Minimum length of 4" but prefer 5"; goal is to run a long bolt through as I want to build a little pedestal for my joystick and throttle.

The "legs" will be 2 flat panels I bolt in together with the use of the spacers.

Tried already; they have a ton and I just wanted unthreaded.

Their non-threaded stuff comes in short lengths and the only thing that's "cut yourself" is polypropylene.

I'm wanting to stick with metal.

I'd think that black side panels with chrome hardware (or aluminum spacer) would look good for a subtle contrast.

There we go! Wonder if they have shorter lengths otherwise I could chop those up in half.

Appreciate it sir; google-fu was weak today.

Started packing a mini run-n-gun kit to go record in NC when the outer bands of the storm came but she looks like she'll behave herself up here. A scenario I much prefer.

Ew, dct! I guess it depends on the gen of mini, I know our R56 was very raw and analog feeling and being a manual helped. Its what made it such a fun car, you felt the road through your ass, the engine throw your feet and the steering wheel had amazing weight when loaded up in the corners so you had a good feel for when it would want to push. I still think my brz had better steering feels but it's hard to say which one is a better drivers car. The rwd probably wins by a slim margin, but I think most car people who look down on the mini, if they drove one on a curvy road, would smile ear to ear and change their tune.
