Meh. It’s going to get a cheap diy paint job. But not till I get more room to start leaving it indoors. So hopefully after winter

Starting to look like a car again. New carpet always helps. I've cleaned every single damn surface, piece and part in there as I've gone from the tub up putting it back together. This thing will have no excuse to not be the cleanest old Outback when I'm done.
Ordered some Ammo trim coat too to at least get her exterior plastics looking decent for a bit.
Most modern vehicle I've gutted so far. I don't imagine anything from 2023 would be super fun.

@Kwikvette Turned out no need to dig into the model info on the rear seat entertainment, I was wrong, it does get used, especially on long trips with friends, it turns out, so I just fished all of that stuff back through.

    Ha no shit

I always figured a small kid would enjoy it but nothing more than that

I get car sick if I'm a passenger looking anywhere but outside the window; it's why I always drive

Then you have some people like my wife that can read a book even...like wtf

Yeah her goddaughter especially, but she said even my aunts have used them haha.
I can't look at that stuff in a car, never understood that, I'd need a dramamine.

They updated to a more involved shipping model with quotes a few months ago. When I sold the 4runner the buyer arranged it and a truck showed up and off it went. When I sold it locally, the buyer came to the house and drove it home. When I bought the AMG I used the tools they had post sale for shipping and was able to easily get a truck to bring it over. Only issue was communication from the transport or seller confirming it was picked up. Transport called a bit before delivery which gave me a chance to warn about the trees in my neighborhood so he was able to move the car on the trailer to avoid contact. Showed up and seamless delivery. All in all nothing to complain about. I think it was $800 to open top transport or 500 miles. Reasonable. The further the distance the lower the $/mile should be.

Ok nice, thank you. Their new shipping calculator is actually pretty reasonable, even for covered transport, so I was curious. I've never bought anything from the site, but have my eye on something and thinking ahead, it'd make life easier to not have to go find a 3rd party shipper, or do another fly-and-drive. I've found budget shippers can be tough to deal with and don't update a ton. Maybe tough is the wrong word, but not smooth.

Yeah I don't get that, Rebecca is the same way she can read all through a car trip. I'll be miserable trying not to vomit after 5 minutes if I do that

I used to play my Gameboy a lot in the car too, for some reason that never set off car sickness. It's always reading that does it, either a book or phone. Not sure why that is
