Got the W in OT, nice. Kings won so I'm happy, although I missed the 3rd period because Edison shut off our power to upgrade a power line down the block and didn't tell anyone about it. Didn't have power again until 8am this morning, wtf

Also the Sharks beat St. Louis last night 5-1, they might actually be working out of that awful slump. I was hoping they'd at least stay in it until after we played them, oh well

Used to have a Pep Boys within walking distance from our house, was convenient when I needed something I could grab from there quick. Closed up a couple years back, but Advance Auto just went in its place. Kept the Pep Boys repair/tire garage though, so I guess it's kind of a hybrid now

I saw that, I hope it gets dropped. I can't see how any of it was intentional.

They did the whole Indiana Jones "Top Men" shit in the interview. Like what special unit is designated to determining intent when it comes to skating casualties. They're probably gonna throw the book at this guy just to get safety standards improved.

I agree This was a tragedy that now is going to get dragged out for the sake of we are doing something to make safety better.

I don't think they believe it was intentional, if they thought he intended to do it then he'd be facing a murder charge. Manslaughter basically means you were reckless and got someone killed, at least that's what it means in the US. I'm sure it's similar in the UK.

But yeah I still disagree with it. The guy took a big open ice hip check and went flying, it happens all the time. When you're moving at that speed on the ice and someone hip checks you and you go flying, it's not like you have time in that split second to think about where the blades on your feet are in relation to other players who might be skating by you. I feel bad for the guy, first he accidentally kills someone and now this. You guys are right, they are probably using this whole tragedy and using him to make a point and institute a change in player safety. Will probably cost him his career and more.

Well if they're not charging him for intent and just based on what happened then it should be open and shut because they have it on camera he killed the guy for sure... There would be no investigation if they weren't determining intent
