I drive like a grandpa lol. My back is hurting after deadlifts the other day and my hair is thinning. I would say I’m over the hill, but I’ll never be over the hill with how I drive!

I had a pos late 90s Dakota just out of high school, 5spd 2.something liter 4 banger with no tach. Had a big light on the dash that would light up when you were supposed to shift lol.

I have a mid 90s Tacoma, 5 speed. Doesn't have a shift light. Or a clock. Or intermittent wipers. Or cruise control.
The gas gauge is pretty damn accurate, though.

 

Got the poverty cluster

 

V6, 4WD, sliding window, A/C and Am/Fm cassette. Nothing else. Probably how I would have spec'd it, if I had a time machine.
It's a pretty early production unit. 02/1995

 

That is pretty early, my first taco was a 06/95 production. Never mind I've ever had the factory radio but I doubt that any of them ever had a CD player. That's about how I'd spec it to but I like the LX trim just because you get the full gauge cluster and cruise control (which I've also deleted in every Taco I've had)

 

I was weirded out by not having the tach at first, but guess I don't really miss it. I drive that truck like a granny.
Thinking back, my last car to not have a tach woulda been an '83 Dodge Rampage. Black vinyl guts, no a/c.

I don't miss the power windows or locks, at all. Intermittent wipers would be nice, but the wiring isn't there for plug and play.

 

That’s incredible, I never knew they specced them like that with the V6. It looks like it has the pre-Taco shift knob too.

This was from shortly after I got her. Hasn't been that clean in forever. Dumped the steelies pretty quick. Tires were bad. Truck came from Nevada. Frame is still amazing.

Mine was that color too. Well my second one was. Had too many of these things
