5-6k sounds like a wholesale price to me. Im not an auction house. I look on Marketplace nowadays and there’s hardly anything good for sale within 250 miles, so some people may be willing to pay a slight premium for a relatively clean older truck that ain’t obviously beat to shit.

 

@Kwikvette id be happy with 7500 tho so you’re not far off.

 

And you may actually get offered $7k.

I'm not saying someone wouldn't pay your $7,500, but you'll get laughed at if you posted it at say $9k or more.

Maybe, but like I said, I just don’t see the 95-97 SR5s around anymore with the decals intact. If I sold it for 7k, I’d be waiting a looong time for another one for under 10k.

 

I'll trade you a 2003 Camry for it. Low miles only 207k

 

So, if I get a nice order of like $100 or more, I like to throw in some extras

I mean, I've done it for smaller orders too or friends in general

I like to keep F bombs in the vehicle and in the shop for whenever I meet new people, I hand them one with my business card

It's netted me some business that way and it costs me nothing but a little bit of time in making them cause I only use left over steel

But I do agree prices are coming back down to earth for these trucks. People aren’t willing to pay 12k for a 250k mile sled anymore.

Decals would only have value to someone who cares about them, so that's a small niche item really

 

I mean it’s still an interesting part of Tacoma history. People have given me lots of complements on them, and I think it makes it more interesting than the droves of 01-04s driving around. The seats are also way more comfy in this trim.

I love the decal, don't get me wrong

But would I try to look for a truck with them on? Nope

Would I pay more for it? Nope

Would others pay more for it? I doubt it

And if it really meant something, just get some remade!

No thanks haha. The 4 cylinder Camrys after 01 have been really meh. Head gaskets and oil consumption.

 

Well people will pay a premium for rust free. I look under every Tacoma I see, and even in the south it’s rare to see one without a spec of rust on the frame.

See, you now understand the point I made earlier except it took you awhile to get there - your truck is not rare.

If a truck has rust, you just avoid it and move on. So many Tacoma's were sold that many still exist without rust.

If anything, you'll often hear the suggestion "go out of state to get yours" or "get a vehicle that lived out of state all its life".

If yours is rust-free, it's because it came from an area where they weren't prone to rusting. It's only a matter of time so either move, or sell it now
