@CS_AR I've never seen one of these before.

 

Idk if I'd say geology is really that useful of a degree in hindsight. I'd advise people just do an engineering program unless they wanna go into research or academia. At least it shows employers tou can commit to something and carry it out.

 

One of our former regulars went to school for geology; I still keep in touch with him but yeah he's just super busy with work.

I'd post geology memes now and then for him lol.

 

Thanks, it was so much fun! I watched this vid back again last night and noticed how they seemed to have an easier time of the hill climb in the beginning than we did. Maybe it was wetter yesterday, or the obstacle has gotten rougher over the years.

I wish I'd done industrial or mechanical engineering. I think I would've really enjoyed designing tire tread patterns or something like that.

 

Maybe a minor in what, physics cause you run your tires way overinflated

 

Never seen a b210 before? My mom had one when I was growing up. She said it was the cheapest car to maintain that she ever had. I suppose most of them have rusted back into the Earth

I wonder if you can even get parts for them. Apparently even the Hardbodies aren't that well supported anymore. Nissan is basically a finance company nowadays that makes cars as collateral. Well I guess all OEMs are to some extent.

 

There's probably some engine parts and some transmission parts since those were used in a lot of years but largely I would guess that there isn't much hanging around anymore. Parts were pretty well dried up for everything but the engine on my 88 300ZX

 

By title yes. But I went mechanical engineering because fuck chemistry and electrical is not a language I speak, but now I make electronics, go figure.

That’s what I wish I did in retrospect. At the time I wasn’t sure o was smart enough for engineering, but it’s more about dedication I suppose than necessarily being a genius.

 

For once, you are right. I'm not a smart man and I figured it out. Mostly because I was too dumb to figure out how to switch majors so I sucked it up and pushed through.

 

man idk if I caught something or what, 230pm hit me like a truck. got really dizzy and drank some Gatorade then laid down to rest and fell asleep almost immediately. still feeling pretty wonky

made some dinner and thought I was feeling normal then I laid down and my head is swimming again

 

I went for mech e and switched because I couldn't manage my illness well enough for the course load. sometimes still think "what if I had pulled it together" lol
