Electrical or Enviro?

 

I'm one PCIE cable shy of going 3-way SLI

Cablemod has nice cables but they're expensive as fuck for basic stuff even

 

don't have a molex to PCI-e power laying around?

They're all in my storage in Spreckels

 

It's alright if I run just two way SLI; those 2 cards I won the bid on arrive tomorrow and even though they're known to be working...I figure what if one doesn't actually work? So I'll run a second, benchtest and confirm, then swap and do the same for the other.

Then I'll see if my buddy has extra cables from the builds he does for his customers.

I've got multiple 2 way and 3 way SLI bridges.

 

I don't think I've ever actually used one of those adapters but I've have a few piles of them, lemme know if you want one.

 

Fuck that. I'm over having loans. Rather rack up the credit card with maintenance

I walk to work too, have 3 cars seems reasonable.

Here's the layout so far, tidied up the wiring some more



One of the 8 pin PCIE cables has a pigtail, but the 9800 GTX + being as old as it is will actually pull the 150 watts per so no reason to chance it

Hard to see but these are each separate cables (top one from the botton one) and I've got 3x20 amp rails at my disposal



Unless I undervolt it and stress test it via HWMonitor

Dang. You ever look into contract manufacturers for electronics? Your EE would be useful there but not from a design aspect.

In my defense, those loans ended up paying out well in the end....
