@Kwikvette I might be going to the dark side (iPhone)....Rebecca can get me one 'free' through her company, I'm sure she could do the same with an Android but this is her way of finally getting me to cross over I think. Hard to say no if I don't have to pay for it lol.

 

as someone who spends 40+ hours a week the last 8~ years in the mobile device sphere I pretty much exclusively recommend iPhones to friends/family if you're not into niche tech use cases which you specifically need Android for. the iOS experience is generally more pleasant in every way. my unsolicited 2cents lol

yeah and I work exclusively on Mac OS at work and at home on the rare occasion I take work home. It's really only out of spite that I've resisted this long lol. Well, originally I didn't like how they seemed so fragile but that doesn't seem to be the issue it once was. At some point up until a handful of years ago, it seemed like everyone you knew with an iPhone had a busted screen. Everyone.

The pixel 8 is what I just got. Been solid, can't even imagine switching to a non pixel, let alone an iPhone.

 

Jesus are they on 8 already? Feels like I just got this one a couple years ago. Actually I think it was right when covid started in 2020 so 4 years is a pretty solid run. I will say of all the android phones I've used over the years, the Pixel was by far the best one.
