Some BS penalties that's for sure, and I'm usually the last one to use the refs as an excuse. But at least they got a point and are tied in 3rd now

That save by Demko in the third against the 2v1 was worthy of the win. Kings fans are such sore losers hahaha

I don't think people drool over things they don't like

That and the 2nd gen green are the best colors Toyota has ever done

We can stick to 1st Gens since that's the subject we were on, and the vehicle you spoke highly of

They feel like pieces of shit, and no not in ride quality (I daily drove Corvettes already during that time)

The interior felt like inferior plastic, everything was cheap, everything felt like it wanted to fall apart, and I borrowed one for a good month and it was only a few years old (maybe 3 or 4)

Oh ok yea gotcha. Some people don't like the Toyota green since it almost changes color in different lights, and the clearcoat also fades pretty easily.

Oh well it might make a good trail beater if you found one cheap.

Well they don't hold their value well, I see 1st and 2nd gen xterras in the 2-5k range all day here. So they're always cheap. Only the 4.0L manual ones have any real value. It would be a decent winter beater, that's it, doesn't have any trail merit at all. Shit travel, no product support, and the lowest hanging frame of any SUV.

I always thought these were underrated cars. The Mazda B engines are great, and they'd make a really fun runabout.

Are the 2nd gen ones decent? I used to drool over the Pro-4x 5 speed models when they were new in showrooms when I was a kid, especially the 14-15 models.

It's actually kinda weird they were discontinued since Toyota continues to sell so many ancient 4runners, which the Xterra was the main competitor for.

That was a good save, if it weren't for our G having a good game we would have lost in regulation after a shitty 2nd period

But the holding penalty in OT was some major BS among other calls. But I guessuntil AI takes over sports reffing (god forbid), refs will always influence the outcome of a game. Some days it's in your favor some days it's not

I'll still cherish the 4-0 win against you guys last week :luvya:

Kind of odd we didn't play Vancouver until just last week this season, think there's still another 2 games vs before playoffs

Hey quick question for the 1st gen owners, just picked up an '04 2.7L standard cab with RWD, automatic. Never owned a tacoma before so not sure if this is normal, but she's got quite a lot of giddy when I switch out of park into drive or reverse. In other words it wants to lurch quite a bit when selecting gears but shifts just fine. Is this normal? It could be described as a "clunk" but its not like a metal on metal noise or anything. I know some drive train loading is to be expected but again its intense. Checked u-joints, ATF fluid, all seems normal. Thoughts?

The xterra is very small, it isn't in competition with the 4runner at all, it's like a body on frame rav if anything since it's a nightmare to load the rear seats of. They're not decent in terms of a offroad vehicle, they're fine in terms of a little suv to beat around in the winter or whatever though

Did you ever really drive an older Xterra to like them at all?

I ask because it seems as much of your information is shit you read or heard.

I actually borrowed an Xterra for over a month in my transition out of the military; I had sold my Tahoe and motorcycle and was getting ready to relocate to Illinois from CA.

Used the Xterra to move shit out of the apartment, get around to work while I was still in, and stay at my friends house when I turned the keys in for my old place.

So yeah, I daily drove it for a good while.

Was wondering if you had any real experience with it.

I actually like my 90s style plastic better than the interior on the brand new stuff lol.

I do need to change rear leafs, my old (deaver?) pack feels like absolute garbage now
