Also, 0-60 in under 7 seconds is fast. Idc what anyone says, it just is. IDC if the tech bro’s Tesla does it in 3 sec nowadays, even an old WRX is quick in my book. I hate all the dick-measuring nowadays that sucks all the joy out of cars and trucks, like “40s are the new 37s!” It just sounds like a way to justify credit card debt to me.

Have fun going slow. I've never been in debt over a vehicle and have had a few that go 0 to 60 faster than 5 seconds.

I wasn’t talking about you with that comment, but the guys that act like you need 40s and tons to go off pavement, and call everything that isn’t the Hammers “just a fire road!” They make it more about oneupmanship than just going out and enjoying yourself.

You are on an island of one my friend. My car is on the edge of being considered fast. It's doesn't matter though, I think it's fun. If 7 seconds is fun for you then who cares, but don't try to claim it's fast. A Prius does 0-60 in 7 seconds. For many, like you, that is exhilarating enough. Then you have people like me where 500hp meets our needs.

So, I'm glad you even said this.

Many of your posts, going on for over a year now, were so focused on the many "weaknesses" these trucks have that you kept yourself from even hitting up a fire road

Not just Zane, but this whole group has basically said "shut the hell up and just go out there and enjoy your truck"

I can't tell who he is trying to prove things to, us, or himself?

I've learned better than to try and prove anything to myself.

Here some shots from this mornings walk. Bumped into a coyote but he was too quick for me to get a keeper shot.

Think he just needs someone to talk to

We're all here, we just don't want to talk about the same shit over and over again :boink:

@Ozark_RegCab I think you and your gf should hit up an air museum

Only say that cause I've been wanting to visit one I haven't been to yet

Yeah I understand that and it's good to have that outlet but to your point mix it up, you can't keep up the same shtick forever.

Air museum.... there's a warbird museum just down the street I've been wanting to hit up. Need to do that sooner than later.

I just finished Masters if the Air last night, and I thought the last episode was really moving. I just thought it was too bad they only showed the Tuskegee Airmen for a few episodes. It tried to jump around between a lot of storylines.

I originally got in to 4WDing cause I'd go out to the woods in my Forester and find a fire road or mud hole I wasn't quite comfortable attempting. I always thought it would be cool to be in something you could roam around in confidence on the back roads, even if it wasn't hardcore wheeling or anything like that. But "the scene" has become more about putting people down for not spending enough money or having tiny tires and not doing enough hard obstacles or whatever. I had more fun on my bone stock regular cab on 31s than I have in any other platform. In fact, the obligatory 3" lift on my current truck is a downgrade from the stock setup on my old one. Like I said before, if you're not getting a quality coilover like Kings or Fox, IMO you might as well just leave it stock.

One of the Walton heirs likes to fly his P51 Mustang from the local airfield here. He also has a Corsair iirc.

    That elite mentality you're describing?

I've never experienced that in real-life and I have met and wheeled with a lot of people on TW (as well as outside TW).

What you're describing are the many posts you read about because rarely does that experience actually happen in real life. You need to surround yourself with quality people, not internet strangers trying to one up everyone else.
