I sometimes use blank email drafts to type out my knee-jerk replies before wording an appropriate one

reminds me I should probably delete all my drafts

I was a nonbeliever until we got one, I know it's just an oven with a fan blowing hot air down on the food but it really does give it a crispy texture you don't get in an oven alone.

@Bandido Do you run a compressed air dryer?

Not a standalone unit. I have a derale heat exchanger after the compressor to an inline filter/dryer, then tank, then another separator/filter then regulator.... Then desiccant dryer at the plasma.

I know this isn't dry enough to get really beautiful cuts lol.

What are you running? Besides a less humid environment?

Just trying to justify (in my head) if I should buy one like the HF setup for $599 (before sale/coupon).

With the affordable PrimeWeld consumables, I get a consistent 800 pierces per electrode, and 400 pierces per nozzle before the quality of my cuts begin to fade.

By some counts, these are exceptional numbers but I also live in a dry environment which is why I only run a coalescing filter, desiccant filter, water separator, and motorguard at the end.

My beads can last for a month before turning color with a few thousand pierces.

On the otherhand, I wonder how much "better" will my current consumable sets last.

To add to that, I have the rest of my consumables arriving - American Torch Tip Co and all their stuff is made in USA.

Tons of reports stating ATTC nets up to 30% increase in consumable life over Hypertherm (for the same price). I mean they did so well that Hypertherm attempted (and a few times successfully) sued ATTC multiple times for infringing upon their patents and other shit.

TLDR - max consumable life for the cost

I get around 100 pierces before noticing a degradation in quality, I never get anywhere close to your level of cut quality, I'm also not on the machine torch. My desiccant also doesn't fill up slowly but it's only really effective at a ridiculously low flow rate.

Imo your cut quality is so good and if your tip life is that long... No real ROI.

Going from my consumption to yours probably has an ROI...
