Once in a while I get the WRX/EVO itch, but looking at used ones brings me back down to earth. These cars remind me of a woman with out a father figure in the house while growing up.

 

The boys over at Musk-Fab Electric Automobiles for the Elegant Rich Man have come up with a brand new fastener for tool companies to gouge you on when you need the socket.

The stupid law of the day award goes to CA Motor Vehicle Code section 21710, which states it's illegal to coast downhill on a highway in neutral.

 

I keep wanting a lotus Elise.... but truck needs to be finished first

That law is for safety. People coast in neutral cause they think it will save fuel when it really doesn't.

Well yeah it's definitely a safety thing, you wont be in gear in the event of an emergency. Still makes me wonder how its enforced, unless its a law meant to be post-collision. Like if you were discovered to have been involved in an accident in neutral, you could incurr extra charges? Who knows

 

It’s likely a tac on kinda charge... they’ll never know you do it unless your in an accident

I think life as a whole is going downhill if you live in Indiana

 

Pretty much impossible to enforce like many other laws but if they at least make the law there are plenty of good law abiding citizens who will follow.

These days with all the electronic crap I wouldn't doubt if some vehicles can log what gear position the trans was in during an accident, for auto trans that is.
