Count the teeth (or sometimes they're marked), clean off the crust, list it for $400. ECGS core charge is $300 so it should be worth at least that much.

255/85R16 Cooper S/T Maxx on my flatbed caught a nail far out on the tire shoulder this week. 14/32 tread depth on them when they were 19/32 new. Not sure if I should buy a second or just run the new slightly taller tire. I see the appeal of 5 tire rotations because I'd have a new tire ready to go with almost identical tread depth.

I just run a 255/85R16 KM2 I got for free as a spare. If I needed it I would've swapped it onto the front since it's like 33.3" tire vs the Cooper's 32.8".

 

lots of options...do you care if your tires all match?

if so, run the KM2 til you can buy another Cooper. 5/32 isn't a particular large difference. return the KM2 to spare rotation or replace it with a Cooper and start a 5 tire rotation

If not, run the KM2 and replace the spare with one similarly sized from the used tire shop

 

I forgot to mention I'll get a free S/T Maxx from Discount out of this situation. They just never have them locally so it'll be a week. I guess 5/32" larger isn't too concerning even running it on the rear axle with one of the old tires?

I guess for now since they kept my whole wheel/tire I can move the KM2 to the front and move the front to the rear.

I wouldn't be concerned unless the difference was 12/32 or more

if you move the KM2 to the front pass side you have the extra assurance it's not affecting the diff thanks to ADD
