How often are these compressors running? And you can always put the heat tap on a temo controller so it only comes in when its like 0° you do like 1 1/2” Adam flex insulation it will keep things from freezing till it get pretty cold

 

I'm gonna say on average 1 minute a very 10 minutes on average, insulation/heat only matters when it's cold asf

 

Well you’re only freezing lines when its cold out.

you can also start insulating the cabinets to help stop the driers from freezing

 

Even more of a reason for the automatic drain I suggested

I guess another thing is, depending on where the tank is mounted, freezing between the compressor and the tank,

can't really stop that easy

 

Freezing between the two is a valid point, however with air running every 10 mins (estimated), you will always have moisture being pushed through to your water separator you'll have between the two components.

That's where the self-draining water separator comes into play, to automatically drain whatever water builds up in it that it captures between the two.

 

I feel like the moisture in the compresses air would build up pretty between the two

 

We pulled together a womens team for a tourney next month -- this is the first proof for our jerseys (we won't likely get the shells or socks) but not horrid! I just wish they were ALL GREEN.

 

When air is heated, it will always carry moisture.

So yeah, moisture is always an issue when using an air compressor.

I'm just offering solutions that help alleviate your freezing issue.

Zane had a great one in keeping some things warm, so I would use that.

I'm also suggesting a method of keeping water drained.

Use both. Win.

I feel like if you can spare the power. A insulated cabinet with a heater for cold days and a fan for really hot days would be ideal. Also being able to reject the heat with a fan will increase longevity of the equipment so its not over heating in the cabinet

ive seen this done quiet a bit. Because most big stores like Walmarts and targets design the equipment to work nation wide. So i get equipment in the bay that would also work back east where it gets below 0.
