4lo and slow and you crawl right up stuff like that no problem. He was probably in 4hi and lost momentum.

 

That's what I tried, it would just stop mid-crawl and start sliding down.

 

How steep of a hill? In 4lo you should be able to crawl up anything unless it's ridiculously steep and loose, or deep sand.

Were you aired down to 15 - 20 psi?

 

I guarantee you he was at whatever his usual road pressure is

 

I was not aired down.

 

There are a couple non-rocky hills at our local OHV parks here that I routinely have trouble with because of how steep and loose they are, so if its bad enough that's understandable. But being aired down well help a ton

 

Miguel aired down, but I thought I'd see what it's like without airing down.

 

It's worse in every way

 

15 PSI next time and I guarantee you'll crawl right up that in 4lo

 

I continued with full knowledge the ride would be worse. I'll be honest, I just wanted to experience a rough as hell ride. Haha.

 

Plus he's at a disadvantage already cause his tires grip like cartoon banana peels but the upshot is he could go all the way to 11psi and they'd still hold a bead and still be harder than most tires haha
