We'll see. Her neighbor hood has seen a real uptick in gang activity the last few months. It seems to be centered around (but not in) a big car gathering on sunday nights. The police, the a local nightclub in the area and the community are working together to figure something out, but its never fast enough. She's on the fence about what to do - sell and leave, rent out and leave, stay and stick it out? Tough spot to be in, trying to support her as best I can.

My boss's son got pitted by an idiot last night, lady just pulled out of a parking lot and ran into him when he was going 40ish. Wish they wouldn’t have let it go because it had all new OEM/Denso AC parts, a rebuilt R150F with brand new clutch, and an elocker rear. Oh and a rebuilt 5VZ. It’s a shame because it won’t make it into the local yard.

 

Damn that sucks. Is he alright?

When my brother and sister in law were ~18 yrs old they t-boned a guy that blew a side street stop sign and pulled right out onto a 50mph road that they were cruising down. Was the morning after St Patricks day and the guy was drunk from the night before. Luckily they were alright after an ER visit but apparently the guy they hit was in critical condition and they never found out what happened to him after.

 

Oh yeah he’s fine, first thing I asked him. Didn’t go full seagull part out meme until my boss started ranting about all the money that was just put into it.

I don’t understand how someone sober could’ve done this but whatever. I forget most people TikTok and drive now. There was an accident here a few years ago where my neighbor (baseball player at my college) t-boned some high school kids running a red light. I want to say none of them made it but him.

That would be wild not knowing what happened to the guy but at least it wasn’t their fault.
