I've heard this is one of the most appealing parts of Harbor Freight tools for someone in the trades. If your tool breaks, walk in to the nearest store with your broken tool, walk out with a new one, get back to work.

Lots of youtube influencer are using Hercules now. HF's marketing department has plenty to do with that (lots of product placement/sponsorship deals), but the tools seem to get the job done well enough anyway.

Is Hercules their upper end? I thought it was Bauer or whatever

Hercules is top-tier for their 18/20-volt handheld power tools. I think it's a more recent addition to the lineup, maybe Bauer was top before?

Hercules and Bauer are the same price point overall, some tools are more expensive than others with either brand. I have mostly Hercules power tools and they serve my limited needs well

You have way more patience than I do, but my impatience drives my obsession with DIY. Mud Connection in LIT is usually booked up two weeks in advance, but when your appointment day is up, they deliver.
I send the complex jobs to them because I know they can do better than I can. Most everything I'm working ATM is stuff I have done on something before.

I have next to non experience with their power tools everyone in the trades i have seen is either Milwaukee, makita or dewalt. All those brands have their pros and cons and all will serve you well so when picking out which one to get into its really just what you prefer as far as appearance and ergonomics.

Their icon and doyle line of hand tools is nice i use alot of their stuff. I even have the same stuff in like kipex pliers as i do in icon and you can’t tell the difference other then appearance. I wouldn’t spend your money on Pittsburgh if you need to depend on that tool everyday of the week but it will get most jobs done aleast once

i think the only thing someone should never cheap out on though is allen keys. Always get the best ones you can afford.

Magnetic gray isnt my first choice, but this one has the correct transmission and was priced fairly so I jumped on it.

    I like it

Voodoo blue would probably be my choice first; sucks they don't have that dark green that was offered in a 1st Gen

I like the reds, really any of them. Wish they would've offered them in that brick color that was used on the FJ cruisers.

Looks good, did you get the manual transmission? What are your plans for it?

Voodoo blue is in the top 3 best Toyota colors. 95.5 to 98 green is by far my favorite. 3/4 of my 1st gen is still that green.

I can't like the 3rd Gen red but yes absolutely agree on the FJ Cruiser's red; the metallic color on the Tacoma's aren't for me
