    Dixie Normous

Also is anyone else obsessed with trying to get a perfect credit score or am I the only psychopath?

Only perfect scores I saw were

    1. Think he was around 84 years old, and still had an open account from the late 80s or so from Sears Roebuck, establishing a long as hell credit history

    2. Another guy, similar situation but forget what old ass accounts he had at less than 1% total utilization and tons of paid installaments (including houses)

Definitely a life goal. Hope to crack 800 in the next few years, not sure if my avg credit age will be high enough though

Only something like 1.5% of the population has a perfect score, or so I read. So around 5 million people give or take?

nah I just make all my payments and without putting too much thought into it have managed to keep it above 800. every now and then I take advantage of DT or Microcenter's 0 pct financing even though I could pay cash. that has got me to 840 on occasion lol

I still hear MacGyver used, though not really in the way those dorks did. But yeah, that and peace are the only two...no idea where they got the others

Also depends on the bureau. TU for me is 827, but Experian I got it.

I used to have a way to check Equifax through one of my credit cards but can't remember which one it was now.

Not all items report to all bureaus, not to mention some items fall off sooner in one bureau than the rest

Yeah been doing the same. Had my one CC open since 2007 so that helps a ton. Also paid off a bunch of major loans over the years, school, cars etc.

I got unnecessarily excited when I got 850 for the first time. The goal is to collect all 3 like pokemon.

Doesn't each provider have a different Max score too? I'm over 760 on two and bounce between 790s and 800 on the third. I hardly use credit though

yeah I don't know who Chase gets the info from, but on my Chase bank app it says my score is 44 points lower than what Experian says it is at 788 which I thought was weird. It's wild to think that the whole credit score system didn't even exist until the late 80s.

Like before that did they just eyeball you up and down and judge the strength of your handshake, or what.

I believe one of them max's at 900, it might be Equifax since it's the only one I can't currently see. I blame video games for my unhealthy credit score obsession. They taught me side quests that aren't necessary to beat the game but still obsess over.

Also you don't have a rewards card you use? We use the capital one venture card for almost everything, get $5-800 a year to use on travel at minimum. Also gives you a free tsa pre check and some other cool bonus stuff like insurance on electronics if made with that card.

Never heard of any of these except for peace and MacGyver. And they use MacGyver wrong. The context was "I'm in a MacGyver that shit." As in make it a shit box.
Also thanks for pointing out that I'm old.

Also if you use credit karma to check it's a vantage score not a FICO score. They can be close but are not the same.
