1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

The whole timeline is all over the place, with the engineers, the AI, the OLD films (that take place after), the involvement of Predator, and more.

Haven't heard of any series so I'd be curious as to where it falls in exactly.

 

oh yeah I mean more like it's supposed to be a part of the whole story, and not something just on it's own. Which I though the Alien vs Predator movies were their own thing? Or I guess they can just loosely be shoehorned into the story pretty easily since the timeline is so far spread out. TBH I never watched the A v P ones

 

The AVP brings in Weyland corporation, which if you recall, were involved in the whole search for "who created us" leading to the engineers and the use of AI

Then you've got references in Blade Runner and AVP that tie in the whole AI thing, with whoever that person was that created Synths being Weyland's direct competitor and more

Idk it's a little too much

 

Have to say, these casters are heavy duty AF

 

I believe that is the allpro, it's the same one @Sperrunner has on his srunner minus the hoops.

I do like that rack you added - it's things like that which make me want to add more tooling (bending tube)

I imagine that storage could be useful for throwing in extra snatch straps and the sort. Soft goods that wouldn't rattle and make noise when driving about.

 

Never been, closest I have been was Tulsa OK. I have no desire or need to go back.

 

Definitely. I've got all of my recovery gear in backpacks floating around in the back. That will be much needed storage space.

Figured when you have a second chance at a vehicle, you're able to apply the shit you didn't/couldn't on the last one.

 

Finally, my request for a phone went through, can have music, communication, and regular internet at work again.

 

Yep. It is like that. This one doesn't have some of the annoying things like a non-working sunroof and door locks. The LX had a pristine frame. But it had lots of other problems from heat exposure. Everything plastic on the LX had peeled due to sun exposure. I spent a lot of money painting and fixing plastic stuff on the LX. I've been able to relax and enjoy this one more despite a little rust that I'm resolving.
