They are pretty reliable. My dad's has well over 300k on it. He drove from Riverside to Anaheim 5 days a week with it. The AWD sounds like it is broken every time it is needed but it's just how it works.

Honestly @Ozark_RegCab it would be a good option for you. I see a lot of them in the winter in Tahoe and they do great.
