Oh true, buuuuuuuut it'd be cheaper wouldn't it?

Would just delay so you guys would have to stay where you are for the meanwhile; wonder how much demolition and clean up would cost before you build a new place.

Although if you go with the "renovation" route, you could forego having to pay for certain things to be made to "code" by today's standards since it won't be a new house.

Yeah, ended up letting the shop fix the bad one. Lost half the day stuck in Bryce Canyon while they did it, but there’s worse places to be stuck for sure. Definitely a weight off my shoulders though, that thing has been stressing me out since we left.
Should’ve taken you up on your offer to deal with it around sand hollow/cedar city, definitely didn’t get a great deal at a tourist trap mechanic. Wouldn’t have been able to explore sand hollow though so can’t complain too much.

Keep some part of the structure and it's a modification instead of new construction. Lots of benefits to that. I've seen existing houses torn down to nothing but the front wall and then "renovated".

Introduced to a new person at work this morning, she looks at my wall of kid art next to my desk and asks me 'did you do that, is that your art?'

I guess some of the finger/watercolor paintings could be taken for abstract art but you'd think all the Peppa Pig and Disney princesses would give it away.
