Yep! Swapped them twice already and included pictures to Hypertherm to prove I'm using new, genuine consumables

No imperfections shown anywhere and the consumables came from different packs IE different lots

Nordic culture is fun. I recently read an article about how nobody "dates" in Iceland. They just hook up, because they've already known each other their entire lives, everybody knows everyone's business, and the culture is super comfortable with nudity so there's a decent chance you've seen everyone naked already anyway. To me it sounded like small-town rural America but with a progressive social outlook and no church-instilled guilt.

There's also a deep-rooted assumption that everyone has their family/community. Especially in the smaller towns where everyone has known each other for a long time, it can be very hard to build new social networks. People are very kind and will help if you ask, but they're not going to invite you over for dinner because they assume you're going to have dinner with your people. Like... you could have what seems like a deep conversation about your life, feelings, etc, and then just say "well it was nice talking to you" and walk away like nothing happened.

It has its pros and cons.

 

At the same time there was a fire to the north of my house this tractor was flipped upside down on a trailer a block south of me so traffic was being missdirected towards the fire then had to be redirected away again. Was a shit show I was glad not to be trying to go anywhere

 

Guy can't drive but damnit he can chain a load down.

I went to the original mechanic today and explained what happened. I basically said “I understand shit happens, it can you work with me on the price at all?” He seemed open to it, but didn’t understand how it could’ve caused the compression issue. He said give me the weekend, I’ll think about it. If I could even get back the 100 bucks for the new crank gear, I’d be happy, and he’d get to save face.
