    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    This old All-Pro install manual shows what has to be done to make it exactly like a 95-97,01-04 frame end which is what everything is designed for

    Water change day

    Really need to set up a bigger tank already, I hate having to throw away so much healthy overgrowth

    @0xDEADBEEF

    Just need to paint it black, put a logo on it, include a Punisher sticker and I can call it tactical and charge $199 each before shipping

    20241104_113401.jpg

    No but really, not bad for a first try

    20241104_113103.jpg

    What really keeps it from making it fit are the stupid bottom corners

    The radius isn't exactly "round" so it doesn't fit within the space

    I intended to make it rest and sit within the opening

    Just have to trim the bottom corners a tad, maybe shorten the overall height by 1/32" to 1/16", remove some of the slots to allow for bolting it in place, and adding the bottom tabs

    Which reminds me, let me test out the weave pattern

    Nice! I'm already surfing redbubble for proper tactical overland stickers, but I'm struggling to find any that are bougie enough for a Lexus.

    Does it till fit with the factory toolbox in there? The factory one feels like it could be improved, but it is a pretty good use of space.

    Maybe we can do a group buy with @Wulf industries

    I've gotten some badass stickers from her before

    I'll mess with it later today to see if the tool kit still fits but I think it should because I want it to rest over the opening and not inside of it

    Have you found a brand/seller of molle pouches that seems...reasonable? I feel like there's a TacticalTax all o'er the place.

    This one I got on Amazon to replace the IFAK on my LBV for night shoots, but ended up as an accessory I often throw in the rig; got two of them

    One that I plan to buy for a small tool kit is a Maxpedition pouch also found on Amazon

    The intent was to buy it and add a few useful tools not found on the factory kit

    Think the Maxpedition goes on sale often and there are two versions of it, both of which are super popular

    Maxpedition seems like they've got a lot of good stuff. Thanks!

    @0xDEADBEEF

    What do you think I should use to latch the top part of the panel though?

    Maybe a J hook or some sort of T at the end?

    It looks like the factory setup uses sort of a T-shaped latch into a slot in the sheet metal of the door.

    First thought would be some snap in nuts to go in the slot (maybe with a spacer to keep them in place: https://www.mcmaster.com/products/threaded-inserts/snap-in-nuts~/ and then a knob with threads or these snazzy cam handles https://www.mcmaster.com/products/knobs/cam-handles~/

    Or, maybe take a carriage bolt, grind it into a T( or maybe some of these https://www.mcmaster.com/products/t-slot-bolts/t-slot-bolts~/ ) , fit that into the slot, and then put it into one of the threaded hole cam handles. Only 2 pieces to deal with at that point.

    https://www.mcmaster.com/products/knobs/cam-handles~/mount-type~threaded-hole-1/

    Or maybe use one of the ones with the built in stud and weld one of these to the bttom to make a tee:

    Thank you bro!

    Was at the hobby shop and another guy was in there buying some stuff; he too had his kid (4 months old) and it was also his first

    It was one of those "I know" moments :rofl:
