Went to do a quick 15 minute steering rack bushing replacement
Except the main 22mm bolt is hitting my front diff and can’t come out thanks to my diff drop :frusty:

Guess the otres are coming off, man this was going to be so quick and easy, hadn’t even got the jack out

I had the same thing happen. I was able to just grind down the flange on the big 22mm bolt head and slip it by the front diff.

How much it gets blocked though probably varies a bit truck to truck, diff drop size, etc.

Yeah I think I’d have to cut too much, it’s hitting the head let alone the flange

I mean it wouldn’t be much off the head, how bad would that be? Just a bit of a low taper fade
Taking off the otre didn’t get enough slack to slip the rack off the bolt

Yeah I think you're good to just grind that down. Looks like you'd just have to grind off one side of the flange and not the head at all.

Made up some butterflied pork loin seasoned and stuffed with fresh mozzarella, parmesan, prosciutto, basil, oregano, bit of garlic and parsley...seared with oil, pepper and sea salt then oven baked. Oof.
Apparently the theme for the holidays this year is lamb and pork.
