I could out them on the 3rd Gen or sell them to a buddy with a Tacoma

 

No but there's a difference between buying something you want, and actually using them versus buying something just because they're a deal in your eyes but not know what to do with them

 

But I know I could use them somewhere

I would add up the initial investment, cost of what it will take to make them usable + plus what your time is worth. If that's less then what you can flip them for then it's worth buying. Kings sell pretty quick.

 

You should buy some stiffeners while I replenish my stock
