Add the word Tactical, paint it black, include a Punisher sticker and you're racking in the monies

My ISP just raised my bill $30 a month up to $75. Normally I call and have them reapply the promotional rate. When I moved in fiber wasn't even buried here so it was just easier to use what was in place.

I just scheduled to setup a fiber bury/install for 200Mbps fiber for $30 a month from the local fiber provider. Can't be any worse than my current cable internet plan of 500Mbps that I only get ~90Mbps out of straight from the coax coming out of the ground.

Few months ago mine went from 70 to 90.. Same week my coworker with the same provider got his dropped from 90 to 60.

Turns out fiber just moved into his neighborhood, but not mine. So to keep him they dropped his rate, meanwhile they fuck me over since I have no option but to bend over and take it.

Yeah the cable ISP was the only game in town for years. Back in college they used to charge us $130/month. When the fiber ISP showed up and they cut their rates in half or more and now they're starting to act up again with the customers that didn't switch. Now that the fiber ISP is available to me I have a way out at least.

I just got my annual rate increase. There's a new provider in the neighborhood that will save me $25/month with two months free, but then I'll have two different fiber lines and termination boxes attached to my house.

First world problems I know, but still annoying.

Fiber is hitting smaller towns more and more.

We got upgraded to fiber last year, but without any rate changes.

Not sure how long that'll last though :fingerscrossed:

@Speedytech7 found some inspiration for your camper build.

    Lightweight and spacious. 474387191_2355266894829027_1403899591997_b042572a278457a1040409681ab6ed43c15ac02a.jpg

so the runner is tarbo'd now for about 3-4 weeks? I've driven it to hockey a couple times and around town without the front bumper on (fwiw - technically it's hubs units toy not mine -- my valve covers are just leaking like mad in the cold and I'm too cold to fix it). Anywhoo... hubs took packages to the local drop this past weekend and picked up some beer on the way home. A guy was eating lunch with his wife at the pond (central location to small town life) and apparently ran to his taco to follow hubs unit home; they chatted in the driveway for like 15 minutes while she waited in the truck. He just wanted to see it. Usually I just catch people at lights and thats as much talking as I have to do...

We watched it over the last 3 days while the kids were sleeping. Was easy to watch 2 or 3 episodes at a time.
