When Dex starts barfing fortunately there's a solid 30 seconds of full body heaving which usually gives me enough time to guide him outside or at least off the carpeted area. Last time he barfed after he ate his food and then started eating the barf up and I started dry heaving myself, it was so fucking gross lol

When Harley gets the barfs I just football him off the furniture or into the laundry room

To add a little more context, I had to step out to the garage then back in to the pantry and that's when I heard the little one sort of gagging (she was on her blanket on the couch)

Had to dash to grab her while I raced her towards the sink but she barfed just before getting there

No mess on the floor though, or couch!

It could be her getting used to Biscuit's dog food? She's got soft and hard food so we've been giving her the hard stuff since it's easy on the stomach

Ooh man, that's just his sensitive stomach right?

Only had one husky but whenever ours barfed, it was always balled up in fur

Couldn't brush enough loose fur off of her :bananadead:

Yeah for a dog that can supposedly survive in the elements this dude with his sensitive tummy would probably retch himself to death in a week

I have figured out that pork is a huge no-go for Dex. If he gets a bit of bacon, ham or carnitas or something he will have several days of the shits and barfing, might be an allergy I dunno. River threw a small piece of bacon on the ground yesterday and Dex snatched it, had soft serve bowel movements the rest of the day.

Had to entice the dog to eat a bit of wet food, trying to get him to bulk up still since he's underweight. Made the mistake of warming the wet food a little... smells exactly like Dinty Moore stew... dunno if I'll recover from that.

oh god don't tell me you put wet dog food in the microwave

Our microwave at work smells like dog food thanks to the questionable dietary choices some of my co workers make, sucks when you just want to heat something up real quick and it comes out smelling like rotten Tilapia

Totally random thing but why do people put poppy seeds on stuff, like I just had an everything bagel and my desk looks like someone dumped all the periods out of a typewriter now. The fuckers don't taste like anything anyway.

Fresh poppy seeds have a real nutty earthy flavor if you're into that kind of thing. But the issue nowadays is most poppy seeds are thoroughly washed/rinsed before being sold and used, to get rid of the opium residue because kids were making big batches of poppy seed tea and offing themselves by accident. So now they are basically flavorless and it's like breading your bagel with coarse sand.

We’ve got a fun story like that. Tossed some bacon grease in our great dane’s dry food as a treat and he ate too fast, having a reversal of fortune a few minutes later. Smelled absolutely putrid so my wife and I took a moment in another room to game plan who was doing what to make it as quick as possible… When we came back the pile had been eaten and floor licked clean! I was disgusted but grateful!

Yeah I was grateful too, partly because he cleaned up his own mess and partly because the Rx food we have to buy for him isn't cheap. But I make sure not to look anymore...I don't consider myself to have a queasy stomach but watching a creature feast on its own vomit is just one of those things
